Lord's holds around 31,000 across a horseshoe of famous stands, from the members' Pavilion at one end to the tall Compton and Edrich Stands flanking the Media Centre at the Nursery End. The best batting views sit behind the bowler's arm at either end, the Grand Stand and Mound offer good value, and the Tavern is the liveliest public corner. Roofed upper rows give the best shade. It hosts England home Tests including the Lord's Test, one-day internationals, finals days and Middlesex county cricket.
The Home of Cricket is a ground of contrasts, where the Grade II*-listed Victorian Pavilion (1889-90) faces the futuristic, pod-like Media Centre (1999) across the famous outfield that slopes around 2.5 metres. The rebuilt Compton and Edrich Stands (2021) are now the tallest structures on the ground.

Lord's runs one of the broadest catering operations in British sport, with street-food traders, stand bars, wine and champagne bars and coffee shops spread across the Food Village, the stands and the gardens. The line-up ranges from Korean fried chicken and Lebanese food to porchetta, crepes and sourdough pizza, with meat-free, plant-based and gluten-free options across the outlets. Unusually for a major venue, spectators can also bring their own picnic to enjoy in the Coronation Garden.
Lord's is a cashless ground, taking card and mobile payments at all tills. Picnics may be brought in, with an alcohol allowance of one 750ml bottle of wine or two 500ml cans of beer/cider per person — though this does not apply to non-MCC members on Vitality Blast and The Hundred match days.
