Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena holds around 47,000 and is the home of RB Leipzig, built within the earthworks of the former Zentralstadion. The club’s most vocal supporters gather in the standing Kurve behind one goal, with the main grandstand (Haupttribüne) on one side, the Gegentribüne opposite and premium seating centrally. The compact bowl and covered roof make for good, close sightlines, and central Haupttribüne seats give the best all-round view. Approaching over the footbridges above the old embankment is part of the experience.
A modern all-seater arena built inside the vast earthen embankment of the old 1950s Zentralstadion, so fans cross footbridges over the grassed rampart and descend into the bowl. A lightweight cantilever roof covers the seating, and the compact two-tier design keeps sightlines tight and close.

Concession kiosks run throughout the arena, supplemented by a Food Court whose speciality kiosks have added dishes such as noodles with sausage goulash, plus packaged snacks like nuts and gummy bears at stands around the ground. Drinks cover beer, Radler, alcohol-free beer, apple spritzer and white wine spritzer, and a Happy Hour knocks 20 per cent off beer and Radler in the first hour after gates open.
The whole arena is cashless — kiosks and the fan store take EC and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Amex) plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. Bringing your own food and drink into the stadium is not permitted.

Getting there
Transport
It is a short walk northwest of the city centre; the Sportforum stop on tram lines 3, 7 and 15 is right by the arena, and it is walkable from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof in about 20 minutes. Parking is limited around the sports park, so the tram or walking is easiest.
The area
The arena sits in the Sportforum sports park just west of the centre, ringed by the old Zentralstadion embankment and close to the Cottaweg and the Elster floodplain. It is a green, self-contained sports zone within easy reach of the city.
