Where to stay for Lineapelle 2026: the closest hotels to Fiera Milano Rho are in Rho Fiera and Milan City Centre (Duomo), with Porta Nuova/Garibaldi a short ride away. The fair runs 15 Sept to 17 Sept 2026 and rooms near the venue sell out first, so book a free-cancellation rate early. Pay Weekly lets you split your hotel over up to 16 weeks.

Lineapelle is the world's leading trade fair for leather, accessories, components, fabrics and synthetics serving the footwear, leather goods, garment and furniture industries. It gathers tanneries, materials suppliers, designers and manufacturers from around the globe, and is held at Fiera Milano Rho, one of Europe's largest exhibition centres on the northwestern edge of Milan. For a hotel-booking traveller, the venue's transit links are a key advantage: the M1 red Metro line runs directly to the Rho Fieramilano station at the fairgrounds, connecting to central Milan and, via the Malpensa Express, to the airport. Staying along the M1 line or near a mainline station keeps commutes simple despite the venue's distance from downtown. Milan offers abundant business hotels but hosts many overlapping fairs, so rooms fill and rates rise during Lineapelle, making early booking and a transit-connected base well worth the effort.

Popular areas for attendees: Rho Fiera · Milan City Centre (Duomo) · Porta Nuova/Garibaldi.

  • Fiera Milano Rho is directly on the M1 Metro line, so a hotel on that route or near a rail station means a simple, direct commute.
  • Lineapelle draws the global leather and materials industry, filling Milan's hotels and pushing rates up.
  • Milan hosts many overlapping trade fairs, so well-located rooms sell out early during the Lineapelle period.
  • Booking early and choosing a transit-connected base beats scrambling for scarce, expensive rooms near the dates.

Pay Weekly: common questions

Do I pay any interest?

No. There is no interest and no extra charge. Your plan total is exactly the hotel price shown when you book. The only fee we ever charge is a processing fee on cash refunds (see 'What fees apply?').

How many payments can I make?

Depending on how far away your trip is, you can split your booking into between 2 and 16 weekly payments. The exact schedule is shown before you book.

What happens after I pay my deposit?

Your hotel is booked and confirmed immediately. You receive your booking confirmation and your full payment schedule by email, and the remaining payments are charged automatically each week.

How are the weekly payments taken?

Automatically. After your first payment, each weekly payment is charged to your saved card, and we send you a reminder 2 days before every charge. In a few countries where automatic card charges are not allowed, we email you a secure payment link each week instead. You can switch to a different card at any time.

Can I pay early?

Yes. Sign in to your Event Escapes account at any time and pay off your remaining balance in one payment, whenever it suits you. There is never a fee for paying early.

What happens if I miss a payment?

We retry your card automatically and email you a secure payment link so you can pay another way, plus a final notice with one link to clear the remaining balance. If the plan still cannot be completed, we cancel the room before its free-cancellation deadline and everything you have paid goes into your Event Escapes Wallet in full. You never lose the money you have paid. You can turn that credit into a cash refund at any time (the processing fee applies).

Getting there

From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

  • Malpensa (MXP) is the main international gateway; take the Malpensa Express train to Milan, then the M1 Metro toward Rho Fieramilano.
  • A common route is the Malpensa Express to Cadorna or Centrale, then the M1 red line to Rho Fieramilano.
  • Taxis and pre-booked transfers run from Malpensa to the fairgrounds if you prefer door-to-door travel.
  • Milan Linate (LIN) and Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) are alternative airports serving the region.

By Metro and rail

  • The M1 red Metro line terminates at Rho Fieramilano, with exit steps at the Porta Est entrance.
  • Suburban and regional trains also stop at Rho Fieramilano station beside the fairgrounds.
  • Milan's Centrale, Cadorna and Porta Garibaldi stations link the venue to the wider Italian rail network.

Getting around during Lineapelle

Milan Metro and trains

  • The M1 red line links central Milan directly to Rho Fieramilano, the simplest route for most attendees.
  • Buy the correct multi-zone ticket for the Rho Fiera journey and validate it, or tap contactless where available.
  • Trains and Metro get crowded at show open and close, so travel slightly off-peak when you can.

Taxis and ride-hailing

  • Taxis are available at stations, the airport and the fairgrounds, though queues form at peak show hours.
  • App-based options operate in Milan; expect higher fares and waits at venue exits during the rush.
  • For central-to-venue trips the Metro is usually faster than a taxi in traffic.

Visa & entry

Schengen visa-free entry

  • Italy is in the Schengen Area, so nationals of many countries can enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
  • A future European travel authorisation (ETIAS) is planned for visa-exempt visitors; check whether it applies before you travel.
  • Ensure your passport meets Schengen validity rules and carry proof of accommodation and onward travel if asked.

Advance Schengen visa

  • Travellers from countries without visa-free access must obtain a Schengen visa in advance from an Italian consulate or visa centre.
  • Apply early, as appointments and processing can take longer around major fairs.
  • Business visitors may need an invitation, event registration, insurance and proof of funds.

Entry rules change; confirm current requirements with the Italy embassy or official immigration site before booking travel.

First time at Lineapelle?

  • Choose a hotel on the M1 line or near a rail station so you can reach Rho Fieramilano directly.
  • Buy the correct Rho Fiera transit ticket, as the fairgrounds fall outside the basic central fare zone.
  • Fiera Milano Rho is enormous, so check your hall and entrance in advance and wear comfortable shoes.
  • Book dinner reservations early, as central Milan restaurants fill during major trade fairs.

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Stay along the M1 red line for a one-connection ride straight to the fairgrounds.
  • Use the Malpensa Express plus M1 rather than a taxi from the airport to avoid traffic and high fares.
  • Enter via Porta Est, closest to the M1 exit, to minimise walking across the vast site.
  • Lineapelle often aligns with related fashion-materials events, so plan meetings and travel tightly.
