Where to stay for CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2027: the closest hotels to Las Vegas Convention Center are in Las Vegas Strip and Convention Center / Paradise, with Downtown Las Vegas a short ride away. The fair runs 6 Jan to 9 Jan 2027 and rooms near the venue sell out first, so book a free-cancellation rate early. Pay Weekly lets you split your hotel over up to 16 weeks.

CES 2027 turns Las Vegas into the centre of the technology universe from 6-9 January, with 141,000-plus attendees spread across the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Venetian campus and venues along the Strip. Product executives, engineers, investors, media and buyers from every consumer-tech category — AI, mobility, health tech, smart home — arrive within the same 48-hour window, which is why hotel pricing behaves unlike any other week in this famously hotel-rich city. Properties near the LVCC and along the Monorail corridor sell through first, and even the Strip's mega-resorts push rates to their annual peaks. The show's scale rewards planning: where you sleep determines how much of your day is lost to shuttle queues and rideshare surges. This page combines live, bookable rates across the Strip and Convention Center district with the transit, visa and first-timer intelligence to make CES logistics manageable.

Popular areas for attendees: Las Vegas Strip · Convention Center / Paradise · Downtown Las Vegas.

Pay Weekly: common questions

Do I pay any interest?

No. There is no interest and no extra charge. Your plan total is exactly the hotel price shown when you book. The only fee we ever charge is a processing fee on cash refunds (see 'What fees apply?').

How many payments can I make?

Depending on how far away your trip is, you can split your booking into between 2 and 16 weekly payments. The exact schedule is shown before you book.

What happens after I pay my deposit?

Your hotel is booked and confirmed immediately. You receive your booking confirmation and your full payment schedule by email, and the remaining payments are charged automatically each week.

How are the weekly payments taken?

Automatically. After your first payment, each weekly payment is charged to your saved card, and we send you a reminder 2 days before every charge. In a few countries where automatic card charges are not allowed, we email you a secure payment link each week instead. You can switch to a different card at any time.

Can I pay early?

Yes. Sign in to your Event Escapes account at any time and pay off your remaining balance in one payment, whenever it suits you. There is never a fee for paying early.

What happens if I miss a payment?

We retry your card automatically and email you a secure payment link so you can pay another way, plus a final notice with one link to clear the remaining balance. If the plan still cannot be completed, we cancel the room before its free-cancellation deadline and everything you have paid goes into your Event Escapes Wallet in full. You never lose the money you have paid. You can turn that credit into a cash refund at any time (the processing fee applies).

Getting there

From Harry Reid International (LAS)

  • The airport sits just off the south end of the Strip — most CES hotels are a 10-25 minute drive in normal traffic
  • Rideshare pickup is from designated garage areas at both terminals; during CES arrival days expect queues and surge pricing
  • Taxis charge zoned or metered fares to the Strip and Convention Center area; the ride is short but arrival-day traffic can double journey times
  • RTC public buses serve the Strip corridor cheaply but slowly — fine off-peak, painful with luggage on peak days

By road from Southern California

  • A meaningful share of CES traffic drives in via the I-15 from Los Angeles, roughly four to five hours in good conditions
  • Sunday and Monday before the show see the heaviest inbound congestion on the I-15 approach
  • Parking at CES venues is limited and paid; if you drive, choose a hotel with included or validated parking
  • Some attendees fly into nearby regional airports when LAS fares spike, but for most travellers LAS remains the only practical option

Getting around during CES (Consumer Electronics Show)

Getting to the LVCC daily

  • The Las Vegas Monorail stops directly at the Convention Center and connects to Strip resorts on the east side; CES-week trains run packed but move reliably past the gridlock
  • The Vegas Loop links the LVCC with Resorts World, Encore and Westgate, and the free LVCC Loop shuttles attendees between West, Central and South Halls underground
  • CES runs complimentary shuttle routes between official hotels and its campuses — budget extra time at morning and closing peaks
  • Rideshare works but expect surge pricing and designated pickup zones at the LVCC; walking from Westgate or nearby Convention Center district hotels is often fastest

Around Las Vegas

  • Distances deceive — Strip blocks are enormous, and a 'short walk' between resorts can take 25 minutes indoors and out
  • The Monorail's multi-day passes are good value for a full CES week on the east Strip corridor
  • Road traffic on Las Vegas Blvd and Paradise Rd is at its annual worst during CES; leave 45-60 minutes for any cross-town car journey at peak
  • Evenings concentrate around the Strip's restaurants and bars, which take reservations seriously during CES — book dinners ahead

Visa & entry

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Citizens of the 42 Visa Waiver Program countries — including the UK, most of the EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore — can attend CES without a visa using an approved ESTA
  • ESTA costs around US$40, is applied for online and is typically valid for two years of multiple visits; apply at least 72 hours before flying
  • Canadian citizens generally need neither a visa nor an ESTA for business visits of this kind

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of China, India, and most of the Middle East, Africa and Latin America need a B-1 business visitor visa with an in-person consular interview
  • US visa interview wait times vary dramatically by country and can run to many months — start the process as soon as CES attendance is likely
  • CES's organiser provides registration-based documentation that can support a visa application; check the official ces.tech site for current guidance

Documents to carry

  • CES registration confirmation and evidence of your business purpose, such as meeting schedules or an employer letter
  • Proof of accommodation and a return or onward ticket — CBP officers can ask for both
  • A passport valid for your entire stay; VWP travellers must hold an e-passport

US entry requirements and fees change; verify current rules with the US embassy or official government sources before you book.

First time at CES (Consumer Electronics Show)?

  • Collect your badge at the airport or a satellite pickup point the day you land — LVCC badge queues on day one waste prime show hours
  • Arrive by 4 or 5 January; media days and evening events start before the show floor opens on the 6th
  • Treat the LVCC's West, Central and South Halls as separate venues and plan each day around one campus — hopping between the LVCC and the Venetian mid-day costs an hour or more
  • Download the CES app for maps and shuttle information, and carry a battery pack — you will not find a free outlet
  • Hotel rooms near the Monorail line and the Convention Center district sell out first; if those are gone, prioritise anything on a direct shuttle route

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • The final afternoon is the quietest time on the floor and the best moment to actually talk to booth engineers rather than booth staff
  • Eureka Park at the Venetian is where investors and scouts spend their time — go early in the show before startup teams burn out
  • Skip the convention food lines by eating a proper breakfast and carrying snacks; the Westgate and Renaissance next to the LVCC have faster sit-down options than anything inside
  • Leave the show floor 20-30 minutes before closing or wait half an hour after — the shuttle and rideshare crush at 18:00 is the worst transport moment of the week

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) travel FAQs

When is CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2027?

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) takes place 6 Jan to 9 Jan 2027 at Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, United States.

Where is CES (Consumer Electronics Show) held?

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is held at Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, United States. The nearest airport is LAS.

Where should I stay for CES?

The Convention Center district — Westgate, Renaissance and the hotels around Paradise Road — offers walking access to the LVCC. Otherwise choose an east-Strip resort on the Monorail line, or Resorts World and Encore for Vegas Loop access. Downtown is cheaper but adds a real commute.

How much do hotels cost during CES?

CES week is the most expensive hotel week of the Las Vegas year: rates at ordinary Strip resorts commonly run several times their normal midweek levels, and resort fees apply on top. Booking early or holding a free-cancellation rate is the only real defence.

How early should I book hotels for CES?

Six to nine months ahead is the norm for good rates; many regulars book for the following January as soon as the current show ends. Prices rarely fall as the show approaches — they climb until inventory runs out.

Which airport do I fly into for CES?

Harry Reid International (LAS), minutes from the Strip. It is one of the best-connected airports in the US, but CES week fares spike and arrival queues lengthen, so book flights early and avoid landing on the Monday evening crush if you can.

Do I need to book CES hotels through the official block?

No — the official block covers many hotels but plenty of well-located inventory sits outside it, often with more flexible cancellation. Compare both; what matters is proximity to the LVCC or a Monorail, Loop or shuttle connection, not who sold the room.
